Thanks to Hartwig for his overlay of C/1999 S4 (LINEAR). As this feature of Guide seems very useful, I tried to learn how to make such UOVs. But the explanations of the manual (version 7.0) seem not to match very well for the version I use (15 may 2000).

For example, I see no explanation about the "Normal Mode" that appears in the dialog box. On the other hand, I wonder how to build the "curved" line for the path of the comet. I can imagine that it is formed with adjacent segments, but the links are so good... ! Too good in fact (invisible, even with high level zoom) that I suppose there is another way to draw such a line. I would be happy to learn more about.

By the way, I remarked 2 problems when a tick mark is displayed in the window:
1. the orientation of the path rotates by about 10° between level 14 and level 15
2. Guide performs "an illegal operation and will be shut down" when I try to zoom further than level 15.

I also remarked that Guide displays all asteroids twice (2 crosses about 2 arcsec from each other)... And it is possible to "Add a trail" both for the asteroid and his "ghost"... ?
