In addition to posting the 'testing' update mentioned
in my previous message, I revised the discussion about Guide
use in Wine/Linux at

In particular, I figured out how to get Internet downloads
of comet and satellite orbits, star data, and DSS images to
work (turns out to be quite easy) and the method is described
at the above link. I also revised the section on getting Bayer
(Greek) letters to show up (I should note that I'm still not
having any luck on that front.)

If you're going to try any of this, I'd recommend using the
'in testing' update I just posted. Also, be aware that I tried
this out using Ubuntu 8.04 and Wine 1.0; in particular, if
you're using old Wine, you may (or may not) see problems.
