I have no solution for the dual-monitor situation. I have only met similar one-monitor situation. At one time I had 21" CRT monitor used at 1600x1200. Then it burned and I had to use other one with only 1280x1024. The Guide's "Time Box" window was off the screen and no way to get it back. After some Googling I found a nice utility "Sizer" http://www.brianapps.net/sizer.html which is intended primarily to resize program windows to defined sizes (640x480, 800x600, custom size etc.; even those which are _not_ user resizable). However it has also the ability not only to resize but also to _move_ the window to the desired position and there is even an option only to move the window without resizing. And this worked for me - I was able to define a custom Sizer setting to move a window to upper left position of the monitor and voila ~ I got back to visible area my missing "Time Box".

Unfortunately this solution is not usable for dual-monitor setup - because the two monitor behave like two independent areas and not one desktop. If you move the window with Sizer to upper left - it's upper left of the monitor - not of the whole visible extended desktop.

However maybe even the first solution may help some one-monitor problem cases ...
