Hmmm...interesting.

The angular distance between alignment stars (~60 deg) seems to be the most
important factor in pointing accuracy. I got pretty good alignment with an
Ultima2000 with the tracking motors off and a couple of minutes between stars.

When aligning a goto scope and guide, I do alignments with the scopes
onboard computer and then check it's accuracy with a couple of gotos. If it
is accurate, I'll get guide to read the scopes' position.

Maybe this is a question for sct-user@egroups.com or scope-drive@egroups.com???
Any LX200'ers or u2k'ers know??
