Stellafane/misc files
Bill J. Gray Jun 13, 2000
Hi folks,
Andre, I don't know if I'll be at Stellafane or not... thanks for
reminding me, though; I need to figure out if I can make it! (It's
one of the few major events conveniently close to where I live, and I
would probably learn a _lot_ about telescope control systems there.)
There are a few new files on the Web site that I've been meaning to
mention for a while now. (You can also get this list by going to the
Web site, http://www.projectpluto.com, and clicking on the "History"
button.) In no particular order:
Masaki Kouda sent in overlays to display constellation names in
Japanese, and an alternative set of constellation lines. This is
described and available at:
http://www.projectpluto.com/extras.htm#japanese_constellations
Oliver Kloes has sent a user-added dataset file for displaying, and
giving some notes about, extra-solar planetary systems. I find this
pretty handy; there are so many systems now that keeping track of
which is which has become difficult. The file is described and
available at:
http://www.projectpluto.com/extras.htm#planet_systems
The file to display Sloan ACR data has been updated a little, so
that you can control it as one big dataset instead of 16 small ones:
