As Bernd mentions, the fact that Windows insists on regarding
.MAR files as Microsoft Access Report files shouldn't confuse
Guide at all. There could be a problem in your .MAR file,
but it's not because of this mis-registration.

When you say "not working", do you mean "Guide crashes
when started", or "draws a chart and crashes", or... ?

One thing you might try: you can interrupt Guide's chart
drawing by hitting the Escape key. Do this just as Guide is
starting to draw its first chart. If this works, it'll show
that Guide is initializing, but that something occurring when
the chart is drawn is causing trouble. Go through Data Shown
and turn everything off. If that works, leave Guide (so that
a corrected 'startup.mar' file is written), then re-start
Guide and turn things back on, one by one, until it crashes.

Also, _before_ doing all this, you should probably e-mail
that 'startup.mar' to me, in case I can puzzle out anything
at this end.
