RE: [guide-user] GUIDE8 folder

I keep a copy of the Guide 8 folder on a 2 gig USB flash drive which I
can run on any computer when I am traveling, no other installation
needed. You can't do that with most other planetarium programs.

Subject: [guide-user] GUIDE8 folder

I have all my settings and sizes and magnitudes and everything set
exactly the way I like them now in GUIDE.

Now I have to re-format my harddrive and reload everything! I am able
to still save data off the drive though.

Can I just save the entire c:\GUIDE8 folder and reload it later and
still retain all the settings and everything that I have now? Or are
there pieces strung out in the WINDOWS, SYSTEM32, and other folders
that also need saving as well?

I am running Windows XP Home.

Thanks!

-Scott
