In the process of answering another inquiry about encoders,
I realized that I'd posted a few paragraphs about AAM cabling
on my Web site over a year ago (long enough that I'd totally

Also: I will be away from (at least) 15 June to 18 June, plus,
I suspect, a day on each side of that. I will be at the Minor
Planet Workshop in Alfred, New York, which ought to be an extremely
educational event for me... I'll also be giving a talk about open
