I just unzipped the updated update (version 12.03.2008). First I thought you
have changed the symbol of comets for printing. They are circles of 3 mm
diameter with a tiny cross in the middle (length of 0.6 mm with 0.2 mm thick
lines). Without magnifier glass I thought it was a spot. I'm printing on a HP
LaserJet 4100 dtn at 1200dpi. But the same map printed on an old HP LaserJet
4L (300dpi) shows this central cross larger and finer (four segmented cross with
a clear "hole" in the middle, 1 mm large, 0.2 mm thick). So I think this is an
issue with the printer drivers and not with Guide. Guide has finished the print job
after a few seconds, but then windows needs about 3 min to render the plot file
(4 years old AMD Athlon XP 1500+ with 1 GB ram and WIN2kSP4) and send it
to the printer.
