Hello Bill,
As I have already noted last year, in all "beta" versions beginning
from maj 2007 there is a bug in the planet trails drawing: the index
marks and time labels are not correctly positioned; the first mark is
not at the beginning of the trail, but it's shifted by a variable
number of step depending apparently on the first date and time and
the timezone.
The same 'tracks.uov' file generated with the "beta" versions behave
correctly with the "last official" version of 2007 March 30 (the bug
is not in tracks.uov !?!).
To illustrate the bug I have posted, in "PlanetTrailsBug" folder of
Files section of Yahoo! group, two screen copy of Ceres trail from
2008 Feb 1 to 2008 Apr 16 with the "tracks.uov" file.
The 20070330.GIF image is from 2007 March 30 version of Guide; the
20080223.GIF image is from 2008 February beta.
