It is an (like many others) undocumented feature.

Choose a camera without a built in guider chip (or create a new one in
CCDS.NAM). Close Guide and add a line like the following at the end of
GUIDE.DAT:
GUIDER_CHIP=-.5, .6, .25, .19, 192, 165
Restart Guide. The numbers are exlained in the link given above. You have to
play with them to get the proper result.
