if you need some additional feedback during debug phase about behaviour of
Guide8 in connection with ASCOM I can run several tests on demand and report
results to you.

Although there are still some bugs in use with ASCOM Guide8 is really a
wonderful planetarium software for accurate control of Goto mounts. Before
every observation night a short online object update from MPC is done by me.
So every recently discovered object can be brought in the FOV of an eyepiece
or the Watec camera within few seconds. And if there is a SAT passing
through FOV recent data of the last downloaded all_tle file mostly
identifies this artificial object.

The Watec video camera can show relativ faint stars in longer integration
modes. So the display of faint stars from the UCAC2 catalog in Guide8 beside
the live camera image on notebook screen is always a good help for me.

Best regards and a Happy New Year to all
