Hi Bernard,
I had a lot of trouble with MFC crashes, as did others, but it hasn't
happened for a while. The only change in the updates is that at some
point Windows went from recognizing _Guide8_ as a "_Guide6_ MFC
Application" to a "_Guide8_ MFC Application". Sttill got MFC
crashes, so I set XP Home to run Guide in Win95 mode and my problem
went away... so far. But it still says "Guide8 MFC!"
Try right clicking guide.exe/properties/compatibility and set it to
Win 95 mode. Give it a try, it wouldn't hurt. But please wait for
Bill's response, I'd hate to see you re-install unless you must!
