Hi Mark,

First thing I'd suggest doing would be to get the current update
from the Web site. You'll get quite a few bug fixes in that, including
some relating to the 'install to hard drive' process.

The most likely cause is that, on the first batch of Guide 8 disks,
you had to double-click to select an item from the 'Install to Hard
Drive' list. But in at least a few cases, even that didn't work,
due to a rather embarrassing bug on my part... something that made me
glad that part of Guide wasn't open-source, so nobody saw exactly
how I made that mistake. In any case, with the update, all should
be well.
