Initially I thought I wasn't seeing them either. However, once I zoomed in
to level 9 or above, they finally started showing up.

One other thing... is the data file you modified named GUIDE.DAT or
GUIDE8.DAT? I modified GUIDE.DAT (no 8 on filename).

Also, the directory I had on my DVD was \UCAC not \UCAC2. Of course, if you
moved it to C:\GUIDE8\UCAC2 then your entry would be correct. Just double
check the directory name.

I made a directory in guide8 called UCAC2.

I copied the data from the 3 CD I got from the USNO, into it.

I set guide8.dat, to UCAC2_DATA=C:\GUIDE8\UCAC2\u2

I downloaded the file at

luto.com/ucac2_a.zip

But the UCAC2 stars don't show up.

What I am doing wrong?
