Re: [guide-user] Altitude bug...?

Hi Larry,

"...Don't know if this is my bug or Guide's, but every location on
Earth, from Miami, Florida to Quito, Ecuador now has an altitude of 801
ft."

The problem here is that whenever you enter a location name, Guide
updates the latitude/longitude, but not the altitude. It does that because
it lacks any data from which to get an altitude. So you have to enter that.

When you enter the altitude, you can select units. For example,
"244 m" will be interpreted as 244 meters, "244 km" as 244 km, "244 ft"
as 244 feet, "244 mi" as 244 miles, ".01 AU" as .01 astronomical units.
The units used for _displaying_ the altitude are selected under Settings...
RA/Dec Format. There, you get buttons to switch between English and
metric units.
