I am wanting to identify a suitable projection for Guide. I want to produce a
grid that I can align my observatory shutter to - eg 90 degrees azimuth (due
east) - that then shows sky targets (Messier etc) vertically upwards, keeping
the same azimuth, so that I can list targets to image without moving the dome.

I selected simple cylindrical but this did not work; following a vertical grid
line showed changing azimuth, and therefore the targets would go outside the
shutter.

I have tried several but none seem to fit. This seems to be a simple
requirement; can anyone advise?
