Hi, All. I have the SiTech controller set up on my scope and can
control it via ECU's ASCOM connection but I have much preferred Guide
as an observing aid (been using it since ver 3) so I was very happy to
see ASCOM added to the system. However, when I attempt to select the
ascom driver, I get a dialog with "Guide 8 MFC Application has
encountered a problem and needs to close.", which then shuts down
Guide. This has occured with the March 27 version as well as the
newest beta.
I am running on a Compaq M700 (700mHz pent, 384 MB, Win 2K pro).
This only occurs when attempting to select ASCOM as the telescope in
GUIDE 8. Any thoughts or suggestions to correct this would be much
appreciated. Thanks. Jeff

PS Where should the "asc_link.dll" file be stored? I have copies
located in the Guide folder, the ASCOM folder, and the Windows folder
at the moment, but would like to keep the hard disk as uncluttered as
possible.
