It's all very puzzling!
I have made some tests with the 2007 June 6 version of Guide and I
have noted that enabling or disabling the 'round to nearest step'
option effectively change the baseline of the trail and the marks
position but...
...the first mark is not positioned at the beginning of the trail!
It's shifted by a variable number of step depending on the first
date and time and the timezone.
Maybe it's a version specific problem in the program's trail drawing
(or time computing) routine, because the same 'tracks.uov' file
generated with the June 6 version of Guide behave correctly on March
24 version.
