Wow! It took almost 2 hours to edit some 600 asteroids out of
MPCORB.dat using Windows Notepad, but now I can easily see those I'm
still searching for.

I simply deleted all of my asterod.dat stuff, reset the header count
to zero, and reloaded current asteroids.

Unfortunately, I've found it necessary to reload the latest
MPCORB.dat files every couple of months, and life would be a whole
lot easier if there were a way to have a master list to run against
MPCORB.dat

Sorting for current date asteroids would probably make the final
manual editing a bit easier but I don't think its a solution.

Thanks all for the help. I'm amazed that editing asteroids elicited
so much interest.

year and them filter out those that have been previously seen. This
