Here is a suggestion to limit the selection of asteroid without using a
second program.

I made this kind of selection in using the Quick Info and the Startup data
file. If you fixed up the maximum limit magnitude inton the quickinfo line
of the startup file, you can use the quick info window to get a precise
selection of asteroids visibles for a particular day. It is not very user
friendly, but it work very well; You aslo can make the same adjustment for
comet too.

I use this undocumented feature regularly to plan my asteroid and comet
observation session.
