Hi Bob,

Did you solve your problem? It seems that I have the same issue. I just
downloaded the latest guide and it freezes at startup.

Bill,

Just DL the latest official version of Guide 8. After unzipping
everything and clicking on the program icon, Guide starts
to open and then hangs before the legend is displayed.
I opened up System Monitor and saw that my processor (300MHz)
was pegged at 100%. When nothing changed after a few minutes,
I had to Control-Alt-Delete out of Guide.

Any idea why this is happening?
