A few bugs

Hi folks,
It's taking me a while, but I'm gradually clearing the e-mail backlog.
In the process, I realized I'd never answered the following:
OCCULTATIONS BY SATELLITES:
Thomas Roehr mentioned that he tried to generate an eclipse path for
Mir crossing the Moon. Not a bad idea at all, but Guide is indeed
unable to do this. The reason is that Guide uses the method of
"Besselian elements" to handle eclipses. In this method, various
eclipse parameters are handled as cubic polynomials in time. Anyway,
the method works wonderfully for most eclipses/occultations/transits,
but the motion of a low-orbiting satellite cannot really be modeled
with cubic polynomials. So eclipse/occultation paths involving
artificial satellites can't be done in Guide.
"MORE INFO" FOR GEOGRAPHIC DATASETS:
Frank Leiter mentioned that Guide was not providing "more info" for
a user-added dataset of occultation observers. I just tried toggling
"US Cities" on (this dataset is built into Guide 7, so everybody should
have it), and I can get "more info" for them... Frank, perhaps you can
e-mail me the dataset and .TDF file?
Laurent Zimmerman wrote that "...Guide randomly spreads the coordinates
of nearby cities to have them displayed not too clustered..." The _city
symbols_ are placed as accurately as possible. The _names_ are sometimes
moved around a little to avoid collisions (and not really at random).
PLUTO OCCULTATIONS:
Oliver Kloes pointed out that Guide lists a bunch of false occultations
by Pluto. _That_ bug, at least, was easy to fix (I edited WORLDOCC.ETB
with a text editor and deleted the offending lines... bug fixes are rarely
that straightforward.)
