Hi Bill,
yesterday I installed ASCOM platform 4.1 on my tower PC and had the same
ASCOM disconnect problem as I had on my Notebook. Both systems are WXP.

But it is not a major problem for me because disconnect is only necessary
typically once or twice in a night. It is much more important and great that
Guide8 now works with ASCOM.
