Re: [guide-user] LX 200 commands

Hi Bernd,

Meade is usually pretty good about documenting how to control
their scopes. Take a look here:

http://www.meade.com/support/LX200CommandSet.pdf

It lists a set of tracking commands ("increase tracking frequency",
"set manual rate", etc.) However, it's not clear as to how these
would be used. Apparently, all the commands are implemented for
the GPS scopes, and some for the Autostar and other LX-200 scopes...
but it just tells you the tracking commands are "partially implemented"
for non-GPS scopes; there's no discussion of _which_ are implemented.

You may find that the ":STTT.T#" command, which sets a particular
tracking frequency, might do the trick. It's based on an assumption
that a frequency of 60 Hz would cause sidereal tracking, i.e.,
":S060.0#" would cause that to happen, and I'd assume ":S000.0#" would
cause the scope to stop tracking.
