Here's a way to check.

N Cen 2007 predates the latest version of iii.dat, which is currently
dated 16th Feb 2007, so is probably newer than the version Bill has,
or the same version.

Is V1065 Cen in that copy of iii.dat? Let alone V1280 Sco?

If you've a recent iii.dat download you can check those, and possibly
also the last nova of 2006, which too postdates Name List 78, to see
whether new stuff gets plugged into iii.dat, or whether it's only
revisions and corrections that do.
