Someone just needs to ask Aaron Price, or possibly Mike, if they've
got all their sequence stars in one big ascii file somewhere, or can
export to said, as they're supposed to have this automatic chart
plotting thingy online nowadays from which to be able to print out
charts that uses datasets and the like and is supposed to be capable
of doing it all and what have you, maybes.

Traditionally Mike Simonsen has always generated aavso charts using
Guide 8, to the best of my knowledge, even when the chart is a
negative POSS image or similar, the work part was done in Guide, I
believe.

But the new thingy's supposed to autogenerate/plot from catalogues and
datafiles, so it must have all their sequence data available somehow.

At core it don't matter much if folk give delta Mag and quote the
reference stars.

It should also be noted that despite mati morel churning out a
sequence a while ago, mike simonsen recently provided another, granted
slightly updated for brighter stuff due to consequence (ie the nova
got naked eye), but as soon as arne henden said "this is the sequence
to use" on the lists bjorn granslo released his sequence and chart for
the nova.

Folk do what they want, even when stuff's organized, I woulnd't worry
about it.

NB I'm not sure any post-Namelist 78 novae will get included in
iii.dat before namelist 79 is released and eventually merged, which'll
be years away even if it happens. That's be the traditional policy.

For brand new stuff, look elsewhere, iii.dat is always likely to be
frozen at it's current contents till about six month after the
publication of the next namelist, themselves rarely published.

Cheers
