Hi Josch,

The user interface for finding variable stars hasn't changed. The
difference is that now, if you do a "Go To... Object Name" or "Go To...
Star... Variable Star", or click on the toolbar button you've enabled,
and enter (for example) "V435 Vul",Guide will find that star. Previously,
you'd have gotten an "object not found" error message.

"...Maybe you can point to a GCVS star which shows different data
than before to check it out."

Since the Guide CDs were pressed, two new Name Lists of variable
stars have been issued (the 77th and 78th). So, for example, you
can find V423 Vul to V457 Vul if Guide can find the 'iii.dat' file,
but not otherwise.

You may also notice that some positions have been corrected in the
new file, or are at least given to greater precision.
