A few people have reported the above problem. I think I have

If you try this, please let me know if you had success or
failure. Also, please let me know if you find other quirks in Vista.

_Usually_, going from one version of Windows to the next has
been reasonably smooth sailing. The worst problem encountered
thus far was an oddity in how serial ports were handled in XP
and Win2000; I had to make a few changes to get telescope control
working again. I won't be astonished to find that Microsoft has
broken some other things in Vista.

My machine currently dual-boots with Windows and Linux. The
latter is starting to look pretty darn good...
