Why you chose the British vizier node I can't possibly imagine, I'm
suppose folk have only been lucky up to press because ast.cam.uk as a
domain seems to be down quite regularly at weekends. Probably they
can't find a 50p piece to put in the electricity meter...

...anyway, people should also note that from time to time VizieR at
Strasbourg can also be down for a while at weekends with nothing
happening, although this is thankfully very rare. Probably
maintenance time or something.

In such cases peeps can google on vizier and they'll see there are
other nodes around the world for the VizieR system, probably Harvard
or India are the best best.

The new simbad4, by the way, was only available at Strasbourg and
Harvard nodes a couple of weeks ago, with the other mirrors still
being simbad3. I suppose that will change in time.
