Re: [guide-user] bug in PA in geomode?

Bernd Brinkmann Jan 30, 2007

Hello Bill, hello Larry,

I just experimented a little more with the PA in geomode and got the following:

there is no bug! I had my last map rotated by 8 degrees and forgot about it,
because also the CCD frame was rotated 8 degress in the opposite direction so
that the frames edges were parallel to the border of the map. Because I used a
zenith up orientation the compas rose in the legend was rotated too and I didn't
realized the additional rotation of 8 degrees.

When changing to geomode, Level 1 is set by default. And there is no rotation.
But whenn zooming in, the rotation is set to the value which was in the star map!

And that I didn't realize. Because we have no borderlines parallel of longitude
here in Germany the effect of a rotated map by 8 degrees was not conspicious.

But my question related to this topic isn't answered yet: Will be (or perhaps is)
there a way to change to geomode without changing the time?

Clear skies
