Auroras/Tycho-2/binaries/UCAC

Hi folks,

I was clouded out for most of the aurora, but the clouds parted
around midnight. We got a decent display, but I think this event
favored Europe strongly.

Jim, I see I never did document Tycho-2 use in Charon on my Web
site. I just did so:

I dunno how much use this dataset is getting... but if you _can_ use
it (that is, if you have a wide enough field of view and the target is
bright enough), I'd recommend it highly.

Roger, about display of binary star names: to do this, you should
go into the "Extras... Toggle User-Added Datasets", and toggle the
Washington Double Star catalog On (and make sure its labels are on, too.)

Another dataset that may be of interest to people doing astrometry,
_especially_ to people in the Southern Hemisphere, is USNO's new UCAC
catalogue. I've posted some information about it at:
