Hi Hans-Goran,

Here is what I did on a PC without any version of Guide:
- installed Guide 7 from CD with Setup.exe into c:\guide7\
- copied the full CD to a new directory (c:\guide7cd\)
- modified startup.mar like this "18 drive c:\guide7cd\"
- removed Guide 7 CD
- launched Guide 7 successfully :-)

Notice that just after installation a line "18" exists *at the end* of
startup.mar, not between lines 17 and 19. If you just added a new line 18
there, it is overwritten with the last one when Giude starts. Edit
startup.mar once again and make the modification again.

Laurent
