Hmmm... that's an odd one...

I gather this happens "sometimes", rather than "consistently"?

I just tried loading up Guide, zooming in a bit, and creating a
mark file named "Denis test". Then I clicked on File... Load a Mark and
loaded it. The list of mark files looked fine at that point. I went
back, and it was still fine.

Does the above resemble what you're doing? What name are you giving
the mark file?
