Re: Only few asteroids without use of MPCORB

wvreeven Aug 17, 2006

Hi Bill,

Today I too ran into the "no asteroids shown" problem in Guide 8 using
the 29 May 2006 software. Downloading the MPCORBcr.dat file, placing
it in the GUIDE8 directory and clicking "Use MPCORB" in the Extras
menu solved the issue.
Strangely enough, before using the MPCORBcr.dat file, going to Display
-> Data Shown and selecting the "On" radio button for Asteroids didn't
show any asteroids but it made all SPACECRAFT visible! I could see
where the Voyagers are as well as Cassini and many other spacecraft.
Looks like a file selection problem to me. Anyway, loading the
MPCORBcr.dat file made all spacecraft disappear.
