OK the code compiles with a few minor changes:

- in get_dss.cpp the main method needs to return an int instead of void
- in the makefile.unx file, I needed to add -lstdc++ to the LIBS variable

This is needed in order for the code to compile correctly.

After that, I got into trouble. Apparently the get_dss executable needs a few
input files in order to work correctly. Reading the code I find that I need to
have an "environ.dat" file and an "ifile" file. Apparently the "environ.dat"
file needs configuration settings (like the cdrom drive letter etc) while the
"ifile" file needs to contain a list of plates to extract.
I'll keep on reading the source code to figure out the format of the contents of
these two files. But if anyone would happen to know them and would like to share
this, I would be much obliged.
