Your explanation is excellent.
I went once again to read page 37 and following of the manual and it
mentions "Add alignment star" button only at page 40 speaking about
the alignment of the JMI/MG-III encoder-based system.
This confused me a lot.
Maybe my bad English does not help me to fully understand but seems to
me that in the part dedicated to the lx200's system based it speaks
only about "Center Guide" and "Center telescope" buttons.
Anyway now I have the answer.
