Re: [guide-user] Re: Only few asteroids without use of MPCORB

Hi Laren, Laurent,

All the way is to define the meaning of "personalization" and "customization"

If personalization is to define color, field of wiew, location, etc.., then of course, one can download all the files in a zip update.
But when I say customization, I want to say that I have totally changed the order of lines in toolbar.dat, replaced a lot of sketches of icons by personal ones, replace the writing of several lines of string.dat by others which were, to my mind, more understandable, totally rewrite horizon.dat and objects.cat, change a lot of type sketches in many extrafiles, and so on..
All changes which would be affected by the option of downloading all files of an update.

Cheers

Bertrand

Unlike Bertrand, when I have downloaded an update, I always unzip _all_ the
files to my Guide directory. Existing files are always overwritten. I never
lost any setting or personalization.
