I've got a similar problem. When I initially installed
the 29 May 2006 update, asteroids displayed O.K. After
using MPCORB once and then unchecking it, Guide won't
display any asteroids. I have to check "use MPCORB" to
see asteroids again.

Hello Bill and all,

since I have downloaded and used MPCORB-file first it seems that Guide does
not know most of the asteroides without "Use MPCORB". Now only some low
numbers are working. After switching again to "Use MPCORB" all works
perfect. But I wont not always download an use this big file.

If I search number e.g. "101" =Helena the message "Not an asteroid" appears.
Number 100=Hekate is working.
What could be the reason of this behavior?
