Thanks Bill,

I did manage to get Charon running by deleting all the files and then
unzipping another batch of them in the Guide8 directory.

I have all of this on an older 266Mhz Win98 system on a seocnd hard
drive, "D", that had enough room for the USNO A2.0 catalog as well.
Most of Guide8 is also installed to that drive.

I will create a short cut as you suggest and check those settings. I
apparently, since it didn't work, will need to figure out how to
install DOS mouse drivers as well.
