I use the 21 Jan 2006 beta, OS is Win XP Home. The "stuck location" problem
just started the past few weeks. Some time ago Guide crashed with "Guide6
mfc errors" in GoTo, a problem some others also had, but Bill fixed that.

I'll email you a copy of my guide.dat, but's pretty short and clean. Since
I delete the unwanted lines whenever they appear, I don't think there's
anything showing now which shouldn't be there. Whatever is causing the
problem with location names does _not_ give me the Guide6 MFC error. If I'm
doing something Guide doesn't like, I'll gladly quit doing it as soon as I
know what it is!

Regarding MFC errors, I found a few days ago that when I inadvertently try
to open a second copy of Guide I _sometimes_ get that error, and crash. But
that has just started recently. It doesn't always happen, and I can't
deliberately make it happen. Anyway, it's easy to work around.
