Mars details

siebren2001 Feb 9, 2006

Hi All,

Long time no see.

I have used Guide as of 2002 or 2003 without ever revising.
In 2003 much of my gear was stolen, and in 2004 I had a knee
operation so I have not been very active in Astrophotography during
that time.
When doing a Mars run last fall, I found out that I had no
opportunity to get information from GUIDE for the larger dark spots
(and light ones) about their names.
I have found a simulator where I can get them, but is there a file
somewhere I can load into my GUIDE files where I get those names
automatically when I select that bitmap or whatever I have to do?

So things like Syrtis Major, Syrtis minor, Hellas and so on which
are visible on almost every webcam picture, not the craters that
almost no one can show in his pix.

Greetz and clear skies to all
