Re: [guide-user] Handling of several DSS images of the same area

Hi Bill, Hi Olivier, Hi All,

I second Olivier's suggestion, but I would take the opportunity of it to ask a question concerning downloading DSS-images process.
This question has probably been already asked before, but I can't retrieve it.
When I click on Extra \ DSS/Realsky images\ DSS from internet, Guide runs in an automatic way and displays an image of given length and width. These dimensions are 15' x 15' if I run Guide at a level 10 or minus, and 15' x 7.5' at level 11 and plus.
My question is: how can I choose the format of the downloaded image, especially if I want a much bigger size, for instance to display an image of a large diffuse nebula, or open cluster, or something else.

Thanks for your help.

Bertrand

Subject: [guide-user] Handling of several DSS images of the same area

Dear Bill,

one suggestion for GUIDE:

I have downloaded two DSS-images (the blue plate and the red plate) from the
internet of the same area at the sky.

The latest download stays always on top of the other image. If I want to see
the first download I have to erase the last image at the GUIDE directory. A
white square of the erased image remains.

Would it be possible to have an option to switch between the images?
Something similar like the "Blink command" we know from image processing
software.

Thanks,

Oliver
