Re: [guide-user] Bug?

Thkx Larry, I did a Full install to the HD, I've been running Guide from my
HD for the last few Guide cycles. I was doing updates after they came out
of Beta in Guide7 but haven't in Guide8 because I'm satisfied with it's
performance as is, although I'm looking forward to the new Guide9 features.

What I believe was happening is I used the Find > Star > Common Name to
select Sirius because, initially, I was far away from its position. After
going to another nearby star by clicking the screen and receiving no
failures like I got with Sirius I went back to Sirius by clicking on it and
had no problem at the deep magnification.

This, I believe, replicated what you experienced too using the "GoTo Object
Name" feature. This doesn't bother me because I don't work in such extreme
magnifications. The only reason I did go that deep was to find Sirius-B's
separation from Sirius for a friend. Thkx for your input...joe :)
