Bill;
This morning a friend sent me his DSLR image of Sirius resolving its
companion. When I zoomed in to Sirius to 1.667minutes (Level-20) in Guide8
and right clicked on either star to get their information I received a msg
stating the following:
"GUIDE6 MFC Application is trying to launch C:\WINDOWS\system32\dwwin32.exe,
or trying to access to gain priviledged resources."
I 'am' running Guide8, not Guide6 and confirmed confirmed it, March 29, 2003
version. I upgraded from Guide7 all the way back to Guide2-3. I've never
seen this problem before.
I got to Sirius by GUIDE8 > GOTO > STAR > COMMON NAME > SIRIUS > ZOOM to
1deg or 1.667mins
My default startup display is 'Level-9' at 2deg, right clicking has no
problem. When I Zoom into 'Level-10' at 1deg and right click I get the
error and termination of Guide wheather or not I Allow or Deny access to the
dwwin32.exe pgm. I am able to Right mouse to determin the separation
without trouble.
I zoomed out to 15deg, went to the Seagull and zoomed into V750 Mon to
Level-20. When I right clicked V750 Mon for the infomation it did so
without problems. I zoomed back out to 15deg, clicked on Sirius and zoomed
into 1deg and then to 1.667mins both times Sirius' information was presented
properly when I right mouse clicked on Sirius. Interesting...joe :)
