Interesting. I had exactly the same problem two nights ago, finished up
doing a complete reinstall, by which time the sky had gone from clear to
total cloud cover and frustrating my search for C/2004 B1. Maybe it is a
date related problem. I probably could have saved custom settings but
deleted the lot in the rush to reinstall, which caused more delays. Anyone
know a better fix, or had the same problem?

Hi, Bill,

I have had Guide 8 installed for weeks and been running happily with
it until today. Now when I try to start Guide I get the error message:

"GUIDE needs the Guide CD-ROM to run. Check your CD drive and try
again."

Unfortunately, putting either of the CDs in the drive does not seem to
satisfy it. Guide will still not run. Help, please!
