[guide-user] Web site update

Bill J. Gray Mar 24, 2000

Hi folks,

I've made some changes to a few pages on my Web site, most noticeably
the "opening" page you see when you go to http://www.projectpluto.com
The site has grown a lot over the last year or two, and certain pages
have become very messy. I was prompted to clean up the site by the
following e-mail:

This is the second time I access your web page. I am somewhat surprised
from not finding an *entry* page for the project where I could find what
the project its objectives and the like are (although travelling through the
pages gives me a good idea of what is in it).
What I find in the page http://www.projectpluto.com/ leaves me a little
unsatisfied: did I enter the wrong way?
----------- Clip ends -----------

My hope now is that people visiting the site will quickly get an idea
as to what I'm doing and what sort of software I'm writing and selling.
So far, only a few pages have been affected (primarily the "opening" page,
HOME.HTM, and the language pages, LANGUAGE.HTM and XLATE.HTM). I hope
to fix up others, though. I see that certain parts of the site give
details about Guide that have been obsolete for two years now.

If you notice broken links and such, please send me a private e-mail.

*Sigh*... People warned me that creating a site is easy, but keeping it
up to date is hard. They were right.
