Guide Overview and Features Session

If I might add a couple of comments to this discussion thread...
I have been using Guide for several years and gave a presentation to an astronomy club a couple of years ago.
Since my main interest is in the comets and asteroids, one of the highlights of the presentation was showing how you could set 'home planet' as a point far above the Sun and then display ALL of the thousands of asteroids in the 'donut' shape. Even the LaGrange Jupiter clusters of asteroids showed quite well.
Then I displayed the 'animation' mode and 'make movie' feature with dozens of asteroids moving across the 10 degree field. To finish out the session, a day by day animation movie of the Moon going through its phases with apogee and perigee along with libration effects.
I'm sure there are dozens more 'features' that are not well known or used often and showing them will give a true sense of how powerful Guide 8.0 can be in doing things beside printing charts.
A very satisfied long time user,
