there are some files in the "Geo" - folder beneath the guide root
directory. First I would try to find the name of your hometown in
"Geonames.dat" and look if the coordinates given there are those
which are displayed when choosing your hometown from the location
menu. Then change the coordinate in the file (make a backup copy
before), save it, start guide and look if the coordinates have changed
in the location menu.

If not then there are some other files to look for:
cities.dat
dgeo_err.dat (german language)
igeo_err.dat (italian language)

If you are entering the ZIP code then you have to look in "Zips2.txt".
