Hi all,

If you enter a misspelled name in Goto|Object Name, or a name which does
not exist Guide will crash if CD1 is not in the drive. If CD1 is in the
drive, "Not a valid object" pops up. I've tried it with Serius (and several
other misspelled names), and with Ninevah and other names which do not
exist in Guide. It seems to be pretty consistent.

I've spent several days and about 10-12 re-installs of Guide trying to find
answers to some of the problems discussed here recently. I'm finding some
bugs happen only with CD1 in the drive and some happen only without CD1 in
the drive.

For each re-install, I take _only_ the minimum install to HD, and toggle
_all_ user datasets Off. I'm still using the first Guide 8 CDs, the ones
with the "Install to HD" bug in CD1. The version installed now is the 21
Jun 2005 beta.

If others who are still using the original CD1 don't find this problem,
please post to the list. Also, if someone is using newer CDs, and does not
have this particular problem, please let us know that, too. I'm hoping the
problems aren't connected with the original CD1s.
